Vateria Mapping

Vateria ClimbingIn South India, the tropical rainforests of Uppangala  near Subramanya, Karnataka, have been the focus of long-term research by the Institute Francais-Pondicherry. This French outreach agency has a strong ecological science department, and OE was fortunate to be invited with them into the rainforests for a field trip climbing and mapping the Vateria trees of the forest canopy.

You can learn more about their forest ecology work at the IFP-Ecology site.
